Save YouTube videos, Shorts and timestamps in one library
Watch later is one list, and it forgets why you kept a video. Stowyt keeps the link with the video's title and channel, your note and tags, and the moment you were at, in a library you can search.
On your phone
- The first time: open Stowyt on your phone, sign in, and follow the setup guide. Installing is one tap in Chrome, no app store, and it is what puts Stowyt in Android's share menu. Open the setup guide.
- In YouTube, tap Share under the video (or on a Short) and choose Stowyt (under More the first time).
- Pick Stowyt in the share sheet (the first time it may hide under More). The save page opens, says Saved, and offers tags, a note and a category. That's it.
On a computer
Drag the Save button from the setup guide to your bookmarks bar once, then click it on any post. Or copy the post's link and paste it into Add in your library. Either way the save shows up on your phone within a second or two.
What your library shows
Stowyt recognises videos, Shorts, live streams and "youtu.be" links; a timestamp in the link is kept, so the video opens where you left it. Each save shows:
- The video's thumbnail with a play button; nothing from YouTube loads until you tap it, then it plays right in your library.
- The video's title and channel, your tags, your note and the day you saved it.
Good to know
- A link with "t=" in it keeps its starting point.
- Playlist links are kept as links to the playlist; each video in it is a save of its own.
- A video that is removed or made private stops playing; your save stays.
One library for everything you save.
Free. Nothing is downloaded or copied, only the link is kept, and your library opens on every device you sign in on.
