Save any web page, and the things you just want to keep
Not everything worth keeping is a post. Stowyt saves any web page by its link, with the page's title, and it saves plain text too: a quote, a command, a note to yourself, synced to every device you sign in on.
On your phone
- The first time: open Stowyt on your phone, sign in, and follow the setup guide. Installing is one tap in Chrome, no app store, and it is what puts Stowyt in Android's share menu. Open the setup guide.
- In Chrome, or in any app that shows a link, tap Share and choose Stowyt. For text, select it, tap Share, and choose Stowyt.
- Pick Stowyt in the share sheet (the first time it may hide under More). The save page opens, says Saved, and offers tags, a note and a category. That's it.
On a computer
Drag the Save button from the setup guide to your bookmarks bar once, then click it on any post. Or copy the post's link and paste it into Add in your library. Either way the save shows up on your phone within a second or two.
What your library shows
Stowyt recognises any page with an address, and any text up to 10,000 characters. Each save shows:
- For a page: a card with the site, the page's title and a link to it. Pages aren't embedded.
- For a text: the text itself, with a Copy button, and a category of your choice (Note, Quote, Command, or one you make).
Good to know
- A text is found by any word in it; a page by its title and your tags.
- Short links ("bit.ly" and the like) are opened to the real page by itself.
Already have a pile of saves?
A bookmarks file from any browser (Bookmarks → Export) imports with its folders as collections, and so does a CSV or a plain list of links. Import lives in Settings → Your data.
One library for everything you save.
Free. Nothing is downloaded or copied, only the link is kept, and your library opens on every device you sign in on.
